wedding toasts fundamentals

Many of the guests at a bridal shower may not have any connection to each other besides knowing the bride. While the extravagance of some weddings may compel their guests to purchase pricey gifts, it is not necessary to do so.

It's important to choose a gift not because of its traditional connotations but because you know the groomsmen will cherish the gift. If you choose a very young child or a child that is particularly shy as our flower girl, you may want to consider having their parent accompany them down the aisle so that they are not overwhelmed on the day of the wedding. Usually, it is not appropriate to hold the bridal shower less than two weeks before the wedding date.

If you hold a shower in the late afternoon, you will not be expected to cater a large meal. The date will also help the potential guest determine the weather at that particular time of year and they can plan travel times around winter weather or rainy weather conditions if it applies. Choosing a venue that is either too small or too big is not feasible because a venue that is too small will be cramped and may not fit all of your guests while a venue that is too big will be a waste of money because large spaces often include a minimum number of guest required and you may wind up paying for more guest than you actually have in attendance.

If you want to maintain a degree of formality in your wedding, then your invitations should also be very formal. Although beach locations are some of the most popular honeymoon location destinations there are also other popular choices for a romantic getaway.
