wedding planning - preparing for your wedding

Large venues such as catering halls make an elegant wedding location but for a more intimate gathering you might want to consider hosting your wedding either at your own home or the home of a close friend or relative. There are so many wedding themes to choose from, though, that it can be hard to pick.

Finding the perfect dress can take quite a bit of time and once you find the dress, it may take up to four months for the dress to be ordered and shipped to the store. Since the maid of honor is probably one of the bride's closest friends it stands to reason that the maid of honor is the ideal candidate to host a few gatherings. If you are more formally oriented, or if the shower will be held at a formal location, you may wish to stay with the conservative ensemble of a skirt and blouse, or perhaps a pair of dressy slacks and a nice blouse.

A rain or overcast day might be cause for concern at a wedding. If you do not have a personal reference that you trust for a particular wedding photographer you might want to consult the Better Business Bureau for additional information about the photographer. Another way to incorporate a borrowed item into your wedding day attire is to borrow a friend's signature piece of jewelry.

This is very important because there are likely to be a few problems along the way in planning your wedding. Creating you own vows is a great opportunity for the couple to express their individuality and share a little bit of themselves with their guests.
